He's got this
Ever have those panic feelings when your world is falling apart? Are you feeling overwhelmed, out of control, scared or lost? Wouldn’t it be nice to hear God’s audible voice saying “I’ve got this!”? Well, we may not hear it audibly, but we can certainly read it throughout His Word! King David says, “You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me. Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?” Psalm 139:5-12 NIV
Plain and simple, pride is the only thing that keeps us from embracing the reality that He’s got this! If the very God who spoke the world into existence, breathed life into man & heals the broken-hearted says that He is with us, then my friend, it’s up to us whether we choose to believe it or not.
“And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:20 NIV
It is solely in Jesus that we find:
Comfort Psalm 23:4
Peace Philippians 4:7
Hope Psalm 25
Courage Deuteronomy 31:6
Joy & Strength Nehemiah 8:10
So next time, you’re in the middle of a mess, feeling helpless, hopeless, overwhelmed, frustrated, angry or just tired… LOOK UP! Jesus will always be there with arms outstretched, ready to embrace you, love you & carry you!
I just love Wednesdays, because I get the privilege of linking up in two places:
with Holley Gerth
and
with Simply Beth
If you haven’t already picked up a copy of my friend Holley’s new book, you really should! She’s a beautiful, gifted writer, with the God-given ability to speak straight to your heart. Reading her books feels like you’re sitting across from her, looking into her face, sharing your heart & hearing from hers. She’s such a gift, I promise this will be the best $12 you’ve spent!
