#4 is: Stuck in the Past

While I can't speak for you, I can vulnerably share that I've gone through some pretty painful seasons in my 45 years of life! Some of the seasons were so dark I struggled to come out of them and wouldn't have, had it not been for the MERCY of God.  

One thing I went into each season knowing was that I serve a God who is REALLY good at making crooked ways straight, healing the broken parts of my story, and bringing victory. Knowing these truths sustained me on my darkest days and nights. 

However, it has always been my CHOICE
to either remain Stuck in the Past or
Live Fully Awake and Alive today! 

You may be asking, "What does it mean to be Stuck in the Past?"

Being Stuck in the Past may look like, but is not limited to:

• Ruminating on a particularly difficult part of your story - unable to see the blessing in it, the healing through it, or the deliverance from it.
• Constantly talking about the negative aspects of your past with regret, anger or bitterness; rarely acknowledging any of the positives after going through it.
• Walking around in anxiety, fearful of a repeat situation.

Friend, if you find yourself Stuck in the Past - can I tell you something? Living Fully Awake and Alive looks like putting the past behind us and focusing on the good around us TODAY! 

Philippians 4:8 says:
"Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things."
