My Veterans Day Prayer
Gracious and Loving God,
We come before You today to give thanks for the brave men and women
who have served our nation with courage and sacrifice.
We are grateful for their dedication, their commitment to defend our freedom,
and their willingness to put themselves in harm’s way for the greater good.
We ask that You bless them and their families with peace, strength, and healing.
For those who carry the scars of battle, whether seen or unseen,
we pray for Your comfort and restoration.
For those who have fallen in service, we remember them with honor,
asking that You give their loved ones peace and solace.
Guide our nation in caring for our veterans,
offering them the respect, gratitude, and support they deserve.
Help us to live out the values they have fought to protect:
freedom, justice, and peace.
May we NEVER forget the cost of our liberties,
and may we always strive to build a world where peace prevails.
In Jesus name, Amen.
Today I honor the veterans from all military branches.
I especially honor my late father who served 22 years as a Navy Seabee.
With Love,
