My Social Media Break
Hello Friend!
Here's hoping and praying you had a lovely and relaxing Thanksgiving with your family/friends!
I recently had the pleasure of attending Soul Camp 2024, hosted by Jess Connolly & Go + Tell Gals, in the beautiful town of Charleston, South Carolina. (I may have fallen in love and want to retire there one day... just sayin! It's a mix of my California beach vibes yet cleaner + Southern Hospitality & Charm. In my mind, it doesn't get any better than that!) This trip was so restorative and soul-giving for me that I truly came back forever changed in the best way possible. Jess taught us so much goodness about living fully awake, while no longer striving, nor living by the expectations of ourselves or others! It was a refreshing and much needed message I gleaned so much more than I want to dive into during our time here.
What I do want to share with you, however, is that from this coaching intensive, I received the confirmation I longed for to let go of the unattainable expectations I had put on myself and allow myself to do less, enjoy more and therefore live my life more FULLY AWAKE.
I am happy to inform you I will be taking the month of December off all social media and blog posts. I will use this time to wrap up the year with my amazing MBSR™ Clients, then shift gears and enjoy some much needed respite and quality time with my family. I will return to our space together mid-January and come with some exciting news to share with you!
So from my heart to yours, I pray you will take this as a gentle nudge to consider doing something that feels "drastic" to take back the much needed rest you (we all) need this holiday season. Instead of walking around in a daze, overwhelmed, exhausted and drained, "Why not take it easy?" (it's a sweatshirt!) Why not give yourself a break? Why not order side dishes for the holidays rather than making them from scratch? I promise you people don't really care that much; they care more about YOU than the food you prepare!
Before I wrap up, I'd like to share just a few things I've embraced in my life to encourage this season of respite and rest. Feel free to use my affiliate links to take advantage of the discounts where I've noted they're available. Any of my suggestions are also great Christmas gift ideas so, ENJOY!

Beauty in Chaos
